This research project's purpose is to unpick the processes and common features in successful social prescribing schemes, particularly from a Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise perspective.

You can take part if your work in the VCSE sector and have had some experience or involvement in social prescribing such as providing activities or taking referrals; work as a Social Prescribing Link Worker (SPLW), are a Primary Care Network Lead or have commissioned a SP service or have been a social prescribing client or service user.

Voluntary, Community, Faith & Social Enterprise Sector

As part of this project I want to find out your experiences of social prescribing:

  • What are the partnerships like?

  • How involved are you as an organisation?

  • How much support do you receive?

  • How would you like to develop social prescribing from a VCSE perspective?

Exploring social prescribing models and partnerships

Social Prescribing Link Workers

I'm really interested in finding out more about where social prescribing services are located (employing or hosting organisation) and how this can help facilitate partnership working.

  • What are the main components of your role?

  • How important are connections between health care professionals and community providers?

  • How does your hosting or employing organisation support you and facilitate these partnerships?

  • How involved are you in communications between your organisation and the wider SP partnership in your area?

  • What are you relationships like with community providers?

Can social prescribing support healthy communities?

Social Prescribing Service Users

I'm really interested in finding out more about the impact of social prescribing prescriptions, especially how and if they have helped increase a feeling of connectedness with in your community?

  • How long were you supported by a link worker?

  • What type of support and activities were you prescribed?

  • How important has this support been and do you now have new friends and contacts?

  • How has social prescribing impacted on your health and wellbeing?
